CHI Memorial Dedicates Sculpture In Honor Of National Pet Therapy Animal Day

In celebration of National Pet Therapy Animal Day, CHI Memorial dedicated a bronze sculpture of Sadie, a former pet therapy dog, in honor of all pet therapy dogs that volunteer with their human companions through the hospital’s pet therapy program. Sadie’s owner and current volunteer, Wayne Gratigny, commissioned local artist Maria Willison to create the bronze sculpture in Sadie’s memory. Wayne and Sadie, a rescued Golden Retriever, restarted CHI Memorial’s pet therapy program in 2012. “I had seen how my grandson reacted to therapy dogs when he was in another hospital and thought it would be great to have dogs visit patients here,” Mr. Gratigny said. “I had five golden retrievers ... Auditions Kick Off For Morning Pointe Foundation’s Seniors Got Talent Show

In May, audition season officially kicks off for the fifth annual Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent variety show in Chattanooga. This year, the age requirement has been lowered to 60. It's a shame we have so many gun battles in certain parts of the city. An outside could come in, look at a map with the number of gun incidents and quickly formulate that most of inside Chattanooga city limits, there is a problem. There should always be a police presence in that area due to the close proximity of UTC housing...either on foot, bicycle or stationary cars. The Montgomery Biscuits (12-10) came back from a two-run deficit and won 3-2 in 10 innings on a walk-off walk against the Chattanooga Lookouts (5-16) on Tuesday night at Riverwalk Stadium.
