Timothy Jerome Brown, 77, resident of Ringgold, Georgia, for the last four years and former resident of Long Beach, California passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Mr. Brown, son of the late Joseph Arthur Brown and Winifred Frances Pope Brown, was born on Aug. 16, 1946, in Long Beach, Ca. He was raised in Long Beach, Ca., graduated from Saint Anthony’s High School in 1964, and later graduated from Long Beach Junior College. After college, he began a career in pipefitting, and was a member of the Local 250 Steamfitters Union. His superb talent in pipefitting led him to teach welding to the pipefitter apprentices for the Local 250. Mr. Brown attended Hickory Valley Community Church with his faith meaning everything to him. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed snorkeling and scuba diving around the California coast and Catalina Island. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, taking family trips, and was a lover of golden retrievers. He could also fix anything, known by many as “Mr. Fix It.”
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Sue Brown.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Diana Parkinson Brown; two sons, Christopher Joseph Brown and Timothy Ryan Brown; brother, Gerald B. Brown and his wife Leslie; step-sons, Blair VanBuren, Kevin VanBuren, and Jonathan Parkinson; step-daughter, Amy Mulinix and her husband Jacob; step-grandsons, Brayden Mulinix and Stephen Thompson; many other relatives and friends.
