Addie Grace Porter
Two standouts for the UTC women's team that went 28-5 last season are following coach Shawn Poppie to Clemson.
They include point guard Addie Porter and sharpshooter Hannah Kohn.
Poppie said of Addie Porter: “Addie is the definition of toughness and high character. She helped lead our Chattanooga program to back-to-back tournament championships from the point guard position. Addie understands our culture and lives it out on a daily basis. I believe her leadership skills will bridge the gap to the culture we plan on establishing here at Clemson. As a coach, I pride myself on building strong relationships with my players that allows us to grow together. I couldn’t be more proud as a coach that Addie chose to finish her senior season at Clemson, allowing me to play a part not only in this upcoming year but the next forty years.”
Kohn, former Florida high school three point record holder, played her freshman year in Chattanooga.
Poppie said of Kohn: “Hannah is a great addition to what we are building here at Clemson. In today’s game you better be able to stretch the floor and Hannah does just that. She was the third best shooter in the country this past season as a true freshman and the best shooter coming out of the transfer portal. Her ability to make shots translates to any level. With that said, she is a tireless worker and unbelievable teammate. I’m looking forward to adding her to our Clemson family as she continues to develop on and off the court."
