Lena Mae Woodson, 90, of Harrison went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 21, 2024.

She was born on Aug. 16, 1933, in Standardsville, Va. Lena spent many years as a homemaker and was dedicated to her part time job as a school crossing guard. She was a longtime member of Lakewood Baptist Church where she enjoyed working in the nursery and spending time with the ladies from her Sunday School class.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Woodson Jr. and her devoted son, Jeffery Woodson.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her son, Terry (Scheloe) Woodson; granddaughters, Victoria (Jake) Willcutt and Abbie (Alex Harrison) Woodson; and great-grandson, Jack Willcutt.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Lifecare Center of Collegedale and Gentiva Hospice.

A Celebration of Lena’s life will be held at Lakewood Baptist Church on Friday, April 26, at 7 p.m. with Pastor Ronnie Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 6 p.m. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made in Lena’s memory to Lakewood Baptist Church

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
