Wilma Irene Warren, 89, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018, at her residence.
She was a member of Bethlehem-Wiley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, John Warren; son, DeWayne Warren; and parents, John and Viola Adams.
Survivors include her daughters, Janet Shorter of Hackensack, NJ and Sharlene (Julius) Hargrove of Chattanooga; grandsons, Orlando Warren of San Diego, CA and Attorney Alden Shorter of Houston, TX; granddaughters, Krystle Hargrove of Atlanta, GA and Dr. Jade Shorter of Philadelphia, PA; seven great-grandchildren; brother, George (Doretha) Adams of Columbia, SC; sisters, Helen Mims, Gladys Mitchell, Doris (Lee) Victorian, all of Toledo, OH, and Dorothy O’Donal of Denver, CO; sister-in-law, Lurlene Adams of Summerville, GA; a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation is on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, Sept. 21, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Gary Hathaway as the eulogist. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
