Robert Coleman Moore, 80, of South Pittsburg, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in a Chattanooga hospital.
The son of the late William and Tressie Sullivan Moore, he was retired from the US Air Force after 22 years of service as a military meteorologist. He also worked for 27 years in the commercial meteorology industry in Lafayette, La. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several siblings.
He is survived by his son, Robert Aaron Moore, of Lafayette, La.; grandchildren, Garrett Moore, of Scott, La., Tressie Moore, of Chattanooga and Thomas Moore, of Lafayette, La.; brother, Thomas (Inez) Moore, of New Hope, Al.; sister, Mary Ruth Raulston, of South Pittsburg; several nieces and nephews; former daughter-on-law, Jenny Moore of Lafayette, La.; and his companion, Betty Muir, of South Pittsburg.
Funeral services will be held at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home, on Friday, March 16 at 2 p.m. Central time, with Rev. Joe Moore officiating. Interment will be in Patton Annex Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until service time.
