Rayford Kirby
Rayford “Leon” Kirby, 76, of LaFayette, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 11, 2018 after battling cancer.
He was known as a very sweet man, a good dad, and a loving husband.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Margaret Kirby; children, Wanda of Rock Spring, Jackie (Angela) of Rossville, Rickie (Tina) of Calhoun, Phyllis (Charles) of LaFayette, Kim (Jason) of Nashville, Tn., Carolyn and Daniel both of LaFayette, Tina, Junior, Tammy, and Pamala K. all of Alabama; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brother, Tad Kirby; sister, Alice Miolen; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Tom May officiating.
Interment will follow in High Point Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brian Lively, Joe Lively, Charles Holmes, Jason Black, Cody Kirby, and Mike Wooten.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5–9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
