James W. “Buttermilk” Adams, 70, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Murfreesboro, Tn.
He was a member of Allen Temple AME Church.
James was preceded in death by his father, Mason Adams II.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Beverly Adams; children, Cedric Adams, stepson, Wendell Eberhardt; three grandchildren; mother, Gertrude Adams, Chattanooga; two sisters, Brenda Jones, IL, Patricia Taylor, Chattanooga; brothers, Mason L. Adams III, NC, Dean Adams, Sr., Germany; a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Fred Harris officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Tuesday, Feb. 27.
