June Rollins Tant, 79, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, February 18, 2018. 

She was a native of Wayland, Ky., before moving to Bridgeport, Al., as a child. June moved to Chattanooga and graduated from Central High School. She was a member of East Lake UMC and Red Bank UMC, where she served as a conference delegate, involved in the “Safe House” program, a greeter, former Sunday School teacher, very active in the Alpha Sunday School Class and was very involved and devoted to the church. June was active with the East Brainerd Athletic Youth Association and very supportive of athletics and ballet with her grandchildren. She was called “a Baylor Legend” for working at the Baylor School for 52 consecutive years. “Moma June” was very loving and devoted to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who was the love of her life for 53 years, Jesse R. Tant.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (Tim) Waddell; brothers, Norman (Linda) Rollins and Roger (Tricia) Rollins; sister, Gayle (Bob) Hudson; grandchildren, Blake (Kristen) Waddell and Blair (Brad) Mard; great-grandchildren, Barrett Waddell, Elizabeth Ann Waddell, Paxton Mard, Alice Mard and Hutton Mard; several nieces and nephews; several other special grandchildren that were friends of Blake and Blair. 

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Dan Scott and Pastor Donald Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, West.
