U.S. Army Veteran Was Owner Of Lookout Supply Company For 38 Years

Cecil Winston Lawson, 80, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away suddenly at home, Sept. 22, 2017. 

He was born in Rosalie, Al., to Alva and Carrie Smart Lawson. He was U. S. Army veteran and was the manager of Lookout Supply Company for 38 years. Cecil was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church and the Lighthouse Sunday School Class.  He served the church as a deacon, usher, greeter and mentor to the Youth Mission Team. Cecil’s love for the Lord was exemplified in his service to his family, his church and others. Cecil will be remembered as a master wood craftsman. He was meticulous in all that he did. He will be dearly missed by so very many! 

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Herman, George, Lynell and Charles; and sister, Lenoytte Roberts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Faye Grubb Lawson;  brother, Jim Lawson; sisters, Hazel Freeman, and Frances McNutt; half-brothers, Arvil, Harold, Jerry, and Tommy Lawson;  and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Richard Mason, Reverend Mike Lofton, and Reverend Larry Williams officiating.  Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2–4 p.m. on Sunday and 12–1 p.m. on Monday at Heritage Funeral Home, East Brainerd Road.
