Pastor Bob Dasal, 70, of Ooltewah, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 25, 2017. 

Brother Bob was born in Charleston, S.C., to the late Domingo and Eloise Dasal, earned his undergraduate degree from Southwest Baptist College and attended Southwest Theological Seminary.  He was a member of Ooltewah Baptist Church and had pastored many churches during his 50 years of ministry including churches in Missouri, Iowa and Tennessee, the most recent being Falling Water Baptist Church in Hixson and Apison Baptist Church where he was very active in the tornado relief effort in 2011.  He was previously employed with AMG International as Publisher of Pulpit Helps and sold bible software for Wordsearch. Pastor Bob was also a Mason.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Dasal; children, Scott (Stephanie) Dasal, Stephanie (Rodney) Godbey, Shad (Julie) Waters and Jodi Waters; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Ramon (Kathleen) Dasal, Vince Dasal, Pickett (Nelda) Dasal, Phillip (Suzy) Dasal, and Ben (Brenda) Dasal; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, at Ooltewah Baptist Church (5514 Main St, Ooltewah, TN 37363) with Reverend Chris Gaither officiating.  Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. at the church.
