Carlton Eugene Beavers
Carlton Eugene Beavers, 89, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 6, 2024.
Carlton was the sweetest most gentle man who never met a stranger. He was a lifetime resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Susie Beavers, wife of 63 years, Barbara Beavers, and beloved son, Stephen Beavers.
After graduating from County High School, he went on to serve his country in Germany. Carlton was retired from Combustion Engineering. He was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church. Carlton was an avid outdoorsman and lover of wildlife.
Carlton leaves behind to cherish his memory granddaughter, Amanda (Jason) Gilreath, grandchildren, Johnathan Gilreath, Leah (Garett) Sosebee, Jordan Gilreath, and David Gilreath, brother, Kenneth Beavers, cherished cousin, Beverly Hayes as well as many nieces, nephews and precious friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Brother Johnny Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
