Linda Joyce Russell Thompson, 70, of Etowah, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Starr Regional Medical Center of Etowah.
Born in Etowah on May 27, 1946, to the late William Paul and Julia Amylee Hembree Russell, she had lived in Loudon County for several years and moved back to McMinn County in 2013. She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed by her family whom she loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Buddy Thompson.
Survivors include her sons, Christopher Hunt of Middlesboro, KY and Chris Thompson and wife Trina of Lenoir City; grandchildren, Rylan, Raegan, Isaiah, Josiah, Ella, Elijah, and Maggie; brothers, Jeff Russell of Ocala, Florida and Andy Russell and wife Elizabeth of Etowah; niece, Olivia Russell, nephew, Dylan Russell; and special friend, Julie Gibson.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
