Winnie Mills
Winnie Triplett Mills, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2017.
She was born in Cleveland, the sixth daughter of James and Eleanora Fitzsimmons, and she graduated from Chattanooga Central High School, the Chattanooga School of Business, and the Tennessee Beauty School.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, John Denton Triplett, and dear husband of 14 years, Donald Mills, as well as sisters Myrtle Mantooth (Wayne), Edith Fox (Edwin), Lillie Sample (Bruce), Pearl Frazier (Ralph), Mona Miller (Clarence), and brother Hoyt Fitzsimmons (Wanda).
Winnie is survived by her children, Joan Triplett Easterly (Clay) of Knoxville and John Triplett (Paula) of Cleveland; grandchildren, Elliott Easterly, Evangeline Easterly Taylor, Elizabeth Easterly, Patricia Triplett, Amanda Triplett; and great-grandchildren, Phoenix LeBron, Micaiah LeBron, Violette Easterly, and Alexander Easterly.
A Remembrance Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16, in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Tom Wicks officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-6:30 p.m. before the service at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
