Morgan, Malcom Eugene (Graysville)

Malcolm Eugene Morgan, 68, of Graysville, Tennessee, died on Friday, August 26, 2016 at his home.

He was born in Sale Creek on May 2, 1948 to the late William and Catherine (Cherry) Morgan; and was also preceded in death by his wife Rachel (Davis) Morgan; and his brother Alan Morgan.

Malcolm was born and raised in Sale Creek and graduated from high school with the Sale Creek class of 1967. Shortly thereafter he served his country with the US Navy in Vietnam. Afterwards he moved to Graysville and became a dairy farmer, where he also enjoyed raising Jack Russell dogs. Malcolm was a member of the Community Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dayton.

Malcolm is survived by his wife, Melissa (Keltch) Morgan of Graysville; his seven brothers, Sydney Morgan of Texas, Jerry Morgan of Dayton, BiJi Morgan of Dayton, Larry Morgan of Chattanooga, Lee Morgan of Gulfport, MS and Gary Morgan of Dayton; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved Jack Russell dog, Tiny.

A funeral service for Malcolm will be held Sunday, Aug. 28 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bud Schermerhorn and Pastor Don Richards officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends before the funeral.
