Christian Ferdinand Neckien, 88, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the local hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Sept. 21, 1927 in Germany to the late Ferdinand and Freida Neckie; and was also preceded in death by his wife Ursula Neckien; and brother, Dietrich Neckien.
He is survived by his sister, Urte Marie Jensen; sister-in-law, Christa Neckien; nieces and nephews, Uwe Jensen, Andrea Neckien all of Dalton, GA, Anna and Charles Meadors of Tunnel Hill, GA, Caress Neckien of Chattanooga and Ulaf Jensen of Washington; sand everal great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-9 p.m. on Sunday Aug. 21. Interment will follow in the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus New Jersey.
