Big Brothers Big Sisters Poke-Crawl Fundraiser Event To Be Held Aug.6

  • Tuesday, July 26, 2016

Big Brothers Big Sisters is presenting a Poké-Crawl Fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 6 from 5:30-11:30 p.m.

"Pokemon Go is taking Chattanooga by storm, so it’s time to team up, hunt Pokemon, and battle for territory in Downtown Chattanooga. Team Members are encouraged to wear your team colors, Yellow, Blue, or Red and prepare to join forces to rule the crawl. We anticipate this will be different than any other Chattanooga Crawl…so if you rule Pokemon Go, or want to learn all about it in one night over some food, drinks and making new friends, come crawl with us," organizers said.

Tickets will include, but are not limited to, a special wrist band to be eligible for the drink and food specials at seven downtown Chattanooga locations.

Ticket prices are:  early bird ticket, $10; early bird VIP ticket, $20; day of event ticket, $15; or day of event VIP ticket, $25.  To purchase tickets, click here.

Current participants include: Puckett's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Big River Grille, Mellow Mushroom, Ben & Jerry's, World of Beer, T. Mac, Five Restaurant and The Moonpie Store.  New locations are being added daily.

More than 50 Lures have been purchased that will be dropped at the Poké-stops throughout the crawl.

"The great thing about Pokemon Go is its social element- the game encourages you to get out and about, meet new people, work together and come support our local children," officials said.

No refunds will be given in the event that your mobile device or the Pokemon Go servers are down.  Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. in front of the Tennessee Aquarium.  Look for the BBBS banners.
