Daughters from all over the state were in attendance, including 10 members of the Chief John Ross Chapter.

On Saturday evening, April 20, the dinner theme was Honoring Chapter Regents. After the dinner and program, two awards were presented for Tennessee Outstanding Chapter Regent.
One award is for an outstanding regent of a chapter with less than 76 members and the second award is presented to an outstanding regent of a chapter with more than 76 members.

Jennifer Sawyer Harvey, regent of the Chief John Ross Chapter received this award in the category of chapters with 76 members and above.

"The chapter has accomplished a lot within the two years of her term," officials said. "The chapter donated 30 headsets to a local kindergarten class. Members supported historic preservation by identifying, cleaning and photographing all past regents of the Chief John Ross Chapter in Chattanooga and created a digital book of the past regents' obituaries and graves. The chapter presented 14 Quilts of Valor to veterans, including some of the chapter's veterans."

Regent Harvey led the chapter in focusing on individual chapter members’ accomplishments and contributions to DAR by giving chapter awards ranging from perfect meeting attendance to best committee report.
