Lois Jenkins Johnson, 92, of Ellijay, Georgia, died on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Gilmer Nursing Home.
She was born April 23, 1923 in Bartow County, GA, tothe late Henry and Cleo Jenkins; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Johnson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry “Mutt” and Evelyn Jenkins, Robert “Shorty” and Margaret Jenkins, Carl Jenkins, Seaborn and Racheal Jenkins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Glennie and Robert Darnell, Beatrice and Acey Cronan, Thelma “Coot” and Clyde Pack.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Jean Johnson of Calhoun, GA; sister, Ella Mae and Buck Crider of Macon, GA; and a host nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lois Jenkins Johnson will be held 2 p.m. Sunday Feb. 7, at Ponders Fairmount Chapel with Pastor Lamar Long officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Pleasant Grove Ryo Baptist Church Cemetery with Bradley Jenkins, Jack Jenkins, Wayne Casey, Johnny Griffin, James Childers and Eric Weaver serving as pallbearers. \
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6.
