Thomas “Tommy” Cox, 45, of Rossville, died peacefully at his residence on Monday, October 24, 2016.

He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and Rossville areas. Mr. Cox enjoyed collecting music memorabilia, watching nascar, spending time with family and friends, and watching the Florida Gators beat any team they played. He attended Lakeview High School. Thomas worked at Bateman Community Living as a truck driver for 13 years.

 Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Marvin G. Cox. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his mother, Sandra Cox Steadman; sister, Crystal (Edd) Mabe, nieces, Haley and eagan Mabe; stepfather, Daryl Steadman; uncle, Melvin Cox; several extended family members and a host of friends.

A gathering of his friends and family will be from 2–4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
