Filmmakers Converge For Mentoring Event At SAU

  • Thursday, October 20, 2016

Current and future filmmakers will gather at Southern Adventist University for a four day festival of mentorship and learning.

Southern’s School of Visual Art and Design is hosting The Roundtable, Oct.  23-26, bringing together alumni and student filmmakers.

The series of bite-sized information sessions will be presented by various alumni of Southern’s film program, including Emmy winner Maranatha Hay, and NBC Universal producer Thomas Wentworth. These creators will attempt to bridge the gap between academic learning and working in the industry and discuss what film students should know before they graduate.

Local video creators are welcome to attend (registration required for certain sessions).

For more information about this event, contact David George, associate professor in the
School of Visual Arts and Design, at dlgeorge@southern.edu, or visit the Facebook page
