Edward Tom Elmendorf III, 58, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at his home. 

He was a loving husband, father, Big Daddy and pastor. He was assistant pastor and music director at Bible Way Baptist Church and had been in youth ministry for 25 years at Victory Baptist and Bible Way Baptist Church.  Trey was a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Management and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.  He had worked for Lorraine Crane Company and Mueller Company.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lauralene Carter Elmendorf.

Survivors include his wife, Bettye Elmendorf; two daughters, Stephanie Elmendorf of Calgary, Canada and Amanda Elmendorf of Ringgold; one son, Edward Tom Elmendorf, IV of Springfield, VA; one granddaughter, Lorelai Elmendorf; father, Lt. Col (Ret.) Edward Tom Elmendorf, Jr. of Ringgold; two brothers, Craig Elmendorf of Ringgold, and Richard (Marie) Elmendorf of Springfield, VA; sister-in-law, Renee (Chuck) Bilbra of Chickamauga; niece, Madeline and nephews, Wyatt, Jake and Ian.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Bible Way Baptist Church with Dr. Vincent Estill officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bible Way Baptist Church Building Fund, 2502 Lakeview Drive, Rossville, Ga. 30741.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
