The Georgia Department of Labor will help Convergys hire 500 customer service and sales representatives at a recruitment Tuesday, Aug. 11, in Fort Oglethorpe.
The recruitment will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the council meeting room at Fort Oglethorpe City Hall located at 500 City Hall Dr.
Convergys is a company that provides customer management solutions for companies internationally. The representatives will handle incoming customer service calls at a facility in Chattanooga.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or General Education Diploma, and at least six months of experience, preferably in a call center, or working in customer service or sales.
Salaries range from $10 to $10.50 an hour, however employees may earn more through monthly sales bonuses and other incentives.
Employees will also receive free premium satellite television programming service. There are also opportunities for advancement within the company, where 90 percent of management has been promoted from within. The company will conduct a drug screening and pre-employment background check on selected applicants.
