Helen Ruth Jones, 78, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Friday evening July 3, 2015 at her home.
She was born October 26, 1936 in Murphy, NC, a daughter of the late Lewis and Etna Mason Stiles; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Harrold Jones;and sons, Payton, ML and Wayne Jones.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Carroll and Brenda Stiles of Copper Hill, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Gary McPherson, Hilda Beard of Cleveland, TN and Shirley and Hubert Wimpy of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Payton Jones, Tiffanie Jones and Tyler Jones; great- grandchildren, Lily Ayers and Emma Palmer; companion, Mark Toney of Dalton, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Helen Ruth Jones will be held Thursday July 9, at 1 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gary McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, July 9.
