Wilma Frances Whiteside Bandy, 94, of Ringgold, Georgia, died on Wednesday July 1, 2015. 

A resident of the Ringgold area for the past 75 years, she was a former employee of the Bank of Ringgold where she worked for 10 years and was a member of the Ringgold United Methodist Church.

Wilma was a member of the Blackstock Home Demonstration Club, the Gold ring Square Dance Club, the Civinettes and the Battlefield Golf Club. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Paul Nance Bandy; parents, John Davis and Janie Mavis Strange Whiteside; son, Eddie Eugene Bandy; sister, Eloise Whiteside Helton; and brother, Ray S. Whiteside.

She is survived by her grandson, Justin Nance Bandy (Alisha) of Ringgold; two sisters, Betty Whiteside Stone of Dalton, and Glenda Gail Whiteside Harden (Jerry) of Dalton; sister-in-law, Sybil Fraker Whiteside of Knoxville; four special and very loved great grandsons, Easton Nance Bandy, Braiden Blake Bandy, Jackson Dakota Bandy and Dylan Seth Bandy; dear friend, William Danny Jones of Ringgold; several nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 3, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at the Old Stone Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, from noon until funeral time at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Hearth Hospice. The family would like to say a special thanks to Hearth Hospice, Cindy Jones and Tonya Sexton for all the care and help given to Wilma and the family during this time.

Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel, Ringgold.
