Chatsworth Man Dies In Motorcycle Wreck In Decatur, Tn.

A 51-year-old Chatsworth, Ga., man died in a motorcycle accident in Decatur, Tn. on Monday.

Mitchell Leroy Green did not stop at a red light at the Highway 60 Bridge, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said.

The stop light was in place due to a one-lane construction zone on the bridge.

The cyclist rear-ended a pickup truck.

He was a member of the Bakewell Bible Church. 

Survivors include his parents, Leroy and Mary (Price) Green of Soddy Daisy; wife, Angela Green of Sumter, S.C.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Tabitha and Elliott McRee and Amanda Mallard, all of Soddy Daisy; one sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Randall Gunzenheiser, of Sale Creek; two grandchildren, Braelyn and Bailey Mallard; niece and husband Rachel and Jon Roddy and their daughter Khloe Roddy of Dayton, Tn.; nephew, Justin Underwood of Soddy Daisy.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday in the Bakewell Bible Church with the Rev.

Joe Runyon officiating.

Bowers Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
