The Photographic Society of Chattanooga will present Matt Harbison on Thursday, May 21. Mr. Harbison has worked as a real estate and commercial photographer since 2011. Mr. Harbison majored in Philosophy and Religion at UTC, and has worked as the youth director at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church since 2001. In his spare time, Mr. Harbison does Astrophotography, and recently premiered his short film, “Galactic: A Year in the Life of an Astrophotographer,” at the Chattanooga Film Festival. Mr. Harbison's program will be “Astrophotography 101”. The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Visitors are welcome.
Beginners or photographers that want to get their camera off of “Automatic”, are invited to join the Boot Camp at 6 p.m. "We’ll be discussing Change Your View: 1)Zoom with Your Feet; 2)Fill the Frame; 3)Show the Environment; 4)Take a Knee; 5)Horizontal vs. Vertical; and 6)Break the Rules,” organizers said.
