Mildred L. Layman Ingram, 87, of Cleveland, formerly of Riceville, TN, passed away on April 20, 2015.
She was the daughter of the late Bruce D. and Bessie Knox Layman; and was also preceded in death by her husband, John W. Ingram; infant son, Bronce W. Ingram; and three sisters, Pauline Chastain, Sue Humphreys and Frances Ramey.
She was retired from American Uniform and was also a loving and caring babysitter after her retirement for a number of years. She was a Christian and a faithful member of Philippi Baptist Church in Cleveland, where she was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class.
Survivors are her two daughters, Charlotte Ingram and Melba Ingram, both of Cleveland; sisters, Ida Humphreys, Martha Hardy (G.W), Carolyn McCosh (Joe); brother, Bruce D. Layman Jr. (Joyce); and several nieces, nephews, and special caregivers.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday April 22, from 4-7:30 p.m. at Philippi Baptist Church located at 2484 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311, with service beginning at 8 p.m. with Dr. Sammy Hooker and Rev. Floyd Bogges officiating.
Interment will be on Thursday April 23, at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Athens, TN at 11 a.m. with Tim Layman, Derek McCosh, John Earls, Stanley Millsaps, Larry Ingram and Sam Hicks serving as pallbearers.
