VaNova Gainer
VaNova Opalene Whitmire Gainer, 75 of Rossville, died on Monday, September 22, 2014.
She had been a resident of North Georgia since 1966 and was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. VaNova graduated from Central High School and retired from Pilgrims Pride in 2010 after 17 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Gainer; parents, Gordon G. and Avon Irene Thompson Whitmire; son, Danny Keith and grandson, Taylor Eberhardt.
VaNova is survived by her children, Tim (Kelly) Keith, Stephanie Hogan, and Becky (Eddie) Combs; grandchildren, Justin (Kate) Keith, Brooke (Daniel) Baker, Tina (Charles) Branham, Marcus (Carrie) Keith, Nathanial (Amanda) Gainer, Coby (Jennifer) Cunningham, and Meagan Eberhardt; 12 great-grandchildren; Beloved Blue Bottle Friend, Jean Potter; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, in the funeral home chapel, with Reverend Eddie Rushing, Reverend Jeff Brown and Reverend Vincent Estill officiating. Interment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday.
