Mary Jane Stoops, 91, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in a local hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Elizabeth Hill; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Stoops; and a son, Lawrence Stoops.
She was retired from Willwer Hosiery Mills.
She is survived by her daughters, Frankie Byerley of Cleveland, Freda Bates and her husband Kenneth of Ohio; sons, Billy Wayne Stoops of Kentucky and Terry Lee Stoops of Ohio; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 25 at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Rev. Isaac Hicks officiating. The interment will follow in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Kenneth Bates, Noah Stoops, Trevor Stoops, Ed Shelton, Charles Kennedy and Tom Danomiller serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 24 from 5-8 p.m. at the Jim Rush Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
