Charly Endsley
Charles "Charly" Milton Endsley, 61, of Hixson, died on Friday, July 25, 2014.
Born on Dec. 22, 1952, in St. Joseph, Mo., Charly was a loving husband, father of three beautiful daughters and proud Papa of 11 grandchildren.
He graduated from the University of Missouri at Rolla with his Bachelor's of science in 1975 and with his master's of science in 1976, both in nuclear engineering, both with high honors. He retired from TVA in 2008 where he worked as a nuclear engineer and computer programmer. He was a huge Braves fan and an avid researcher of genealogy.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Jackson Endsley Sr., brother, Garry Hoyt, and sister, Mary Ann Gibson.
Charly is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ann Endsley; daughters, Amanda Dawn Deane (Stephen Deane), Michelle Lynn Harvey (Jason Harvey), and Megan Nicole Rutherford (Adam Rutherford); mother, Grace Ruth Endsley; brother, William Jackson Endsley, Jr., and sister, Carol June Endsley; grandchildren: Ivy McDonald, Ava McDonald, Evan McDonald, Taryn Deane, Salem Deane, Johnathan Harvey, Austin Harvey, Anna Harvey, Mya Rutherford, Adeline Rutherford, and Henry Rutherford, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 29, from 4-6 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, followed by a remembrance service. Burial is private.
