Ellen A. Sewell, 72, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Friday night, October 17, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 8th, 1942 a daughter of the late Samuel & Etta Diveley. Ellen was a member of Community Hall Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years until her health started to fail her. She was retired from Beaulieu in Eaton, GA. Ellen loved to play bingo and was a gifted artist who hid her talent for many years.
Ellen is survived by one daughter, Teresa Cooke and her companion David Massey; one son, Keith Sewell and wife Janice; grandchildren, Clinton Cooke (Amy) and Erica Waters (Paul); two great- grandsons, Jaxson Waters and Easton Waters; siblings, Carolyn Godfrey (Danny), Bobby Diveley, Katherine McNabb (Dibble) and Freddie Dodson(Joanie); special and dearest friend Trudy Smith; numerous other extended family members; and a host of special friends.
A celebration of her life is planned for Wednesday, October 22at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN.
The family will receive friends in the chapel on Wednesday, October 22 from 5-7 p.m.
The family would like to thank the many wonderful caregivers that helped the family with Ellen over that past four years.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to the Caring Place in Ellen’s memory.
