The day after finishing its opening conference series, the Covenant baseball was right back on the road to take on in-state rival Berry. The Scots never recovered from an early deficit as they dropped their first of two meetings with the Vikings this season.
Final: Covenant 3, Berry 8 A 2-RBI single followed by a pair of RBI singles put the Vikings ahead 4-0 in the first inning. Two more RBI singles for the Vikings pushed their lead to 8-1 in the fifth inning. Covenant loaded the bases in the eighth inning, but was unable to bring any runners home. Chris Savage and Carson Ragland each had a RBI single in the ninth inning for the Scots, but it was too little too late.
