Keke Norfolk of Sweetwater High School signed a National Letter of Intent with the Cleveland State women’s basketball team this past week. Norfolk a 5’9” guard/forward, becomes the first signee for Head Coach Lisa Phillips for 2024-25 campaign.
Norfolk was excited at her signing to be able to continue basketball at the collegiate level after missing most of her junior and senior years due to nagging injuries. She chose the Lady Cougar program due to the close proximity of her home, but just as important she really liked the style of play Cleveland State runs during their games.
Coach Philips was also excited with Norfolk’s decision as she likes her athleticism and length which fits perfectly in to the style of play she incorporates in the Cleveland State program. “I am excited to add Keke to the roster, and I know she is going to bring her absolute best to our program,” noted Coach Phillips. “She is an amazing player and just a wonderful young lady.”
