Dayton Textile Plant Closing After 105 Years

A Dayton textile plant that has operated for 105 years is closing.

The Kayser-Roth Corporation facility is on North Broadway Street.

The plant has 90 employees. At one time there were over 200.

Plant officials said orders have been dropping in the textile industry over the past several years making it impossible to continue.

The plant opened in 1913 as the Dayton Hosiery Mill. It first made men's socks.
