Chicago Art School Visits Chattanooga High Center For Creative Arts

Representatives from the School of Art Institute of Chicago visited the Chattanooga High Center for Creative Arts to talk with students about the prestigious college’s program and view work of the students at the high school in the area known for graduating exceptional artists.  

Kyle O’Connell, assistant director of admissions for the School of Art Institute, discussed the enrollment process and the opportunities available for aspiring artists at the school in Chicago.  O’Connell also reviewed student art portfolios during his visit.

Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts works to prepare students to create a change in the visual art industry.  Over the past three years, 11 Center for Creative Arts visual arts students have been accepted into the undergraduate program at the School of Art Institute in Chicago.

SAIC is consistently ranked among the top 10 programs in the world. The school was recognized by Columbia University’s National Arts Journalism survey as “the most influential art college in the United States” and consistently ranked among the top graduate fine arts programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
