Nancy Ward Chapter Of NSDAR Receives Awards

Nancy Ward Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, received several awards at the Society's annual Continental Congress.  The certificates were just received and presented to members at the Chapter meeting on Sept. 12.  The Chapter was honored to receive the recognition for its work in the NSDAR objectives of Education, Patriotism, and Historic Preservation.  

Christy Torok received the award for Outstanding Contribution to Constitution Week Promotion and Excellence in Constitution Week Leadership.  Ms.

Torok's efforts to educate the community on the importance of the Constitution have been exemplary, said officials. 

Chapter Chaplain Pauline Moore holds the Chapter certificates for Chapter Achievement Award, Level 1, Trekker Level Chapter, Membership Committee, Southeastern Division, and Outstanding Chapter Report, Membership Committee, Southeastern Division.  The entire Chapter works to encourage new members and keep existing members involved.

Chapter Registrar Pam McConnell was presented with a certificate for Outstanding Service, Lineage Research Committee and Outstanding Service to DAR America 250! Membership Task Force, Office of the Registrar General Award. Ms. McConnell has helped dozens of Daughters through her meticulous research. 

Chapter Treasurer Lori Cook was also awarded Outstanding Service, National Vice Chair, Membership Committee, Third Place for Most Social Media Sites Submitted for VIS Approval, VIS Committee; Most State Winners of the Website of the Month, VIS Committee; and Outstanding Service VIS State Chair, VIS Committee.  Ms. Cook works to support the group with her technical and financial skills.
