WGOW radio today announced Brian Joyce as a permanent addition to the Morning Press team that also includes Jim Reynolds and Kevin West. It’s the first permanent change to the Talk Radio morning show lineup in over 20 years.

Mr. Joyce has been on-air at WGOW since April of 2012 hosting the Brian Joyce Show afternoons from 1-3 p.m.  Mr. West, who is also the station’s program director, says Mr. Joyce will not continue in that role forever.

“This is a two-part announcement,” said Mr.
West. “Brian has agreed to continue hosting the 1-3 p.m. show until we lock in replacement programming. When we do that, we’ll make "Part Two" of the announcement.”

The Morning Press runs from 6-10  a.m. weekday mornings on WGOW-FM; it is simulcast on WGOW-AM from 6-9 a.m. ,with the AM station breaking away for the Chris Plante program at 9 a.m.

Mr. Reynolds and Mr. West have been working together since 1987. Mr. Reynolds is a member of three halls of fame: the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame, the UTC Hall of Fame and the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame.  Mr. West has won multiple awards for news from the Associated Press and the East Tennessee Society of Professional Journalists. He became program director in 2011, adding to his responsibilities as news director and on-air anchor.
