Cinnamon Bruce Arrested After Vehicle Leaves Road, Breaks Leg Of Woman Sitting In Swing

Police have charged Cinnamon Nashawn Bruce with wrecking her vehicle into a yard on Calhoun Avenue and hitting a swing where several people were sitting.

A woman in the swing suffered a broken leg. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Other family members were able to get out of the way of the car.

Ms. Bruce, 27, of 8264 Elle Plaza Place, Hixson, was charged with DUI, driving on a revoked license, vehicular assault, and reckless endangerment.

The vehicle crashed through a fence and struck a pole before careening into the swing.

Police said Ms. Bruce had an odor of an intoxicant. She said she had two beers earlier.

A blood sample was obtained from her.
