Tommy Gentry
Tommy Wayne Gentry, 52, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 23, 2018.
He enjoyed working on cars, but more than anything he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the man with working hand with a smooth touch to soothe a child’s soul. Tommy was known for being a cheerful giver and always doing whatever it took to help those around him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Myers, and step-mother, Kathleen Reynolds.
Tommy leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 32 years, Tammy Gentry; children, Tamara Rogers and Tia Scoggins; his beloved grandchildren, David Gentry, Atlas Scoggins, and Ember Scoggins; father, Charles Wayne Gentry; siblings, Darris Gentry (Mike), Kim Nipper (Scott), and Melissa Payne (Mitchell); nieces & nephew, Kyra Nipper, Macy Nipper, and Jonathon Mantooth.
A celebration of life funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday May 26, at Companion Funeral Home, at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37311 with Pastor Todd Collins officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5-7 p.m. as well as from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, both at the funeral home.
Following the service, Tommy will be laid to rest in the Benton Memorial Gardens, at 192 Patty Road, Benton, Tn. 37307
Tommy asked that everyone would please wear blue jeans to his funeral and visitation.
