The Tivoli Theater foundation and EPB announced a multi-year partnership to enhance the audience experience at the Tivoli, Memorial Auditorium, and the Walker Theater with digital upgrades “Powered by EPB.”

“We are thrilled to partner with EPB as we continue to enhance our venues with the amenities modern audiences expect while preserving what makes these historic theaters so special,” said Nick Wilkinson, executive director of the Tivoli Foundation. “After all, as we operate the Gig City’s premiere performance venues we couldn’t have a better partner than EPB when it comes to maintaining our community traditions while pushing the bounds of technical innovation.”

“EPB is proud to join the Tivoli Foundation in making some of Chattanooga’s most electrifying performances even better,” said John Pless of EPB. “These landmark theaters have provided our community with so many fond memories over the years, and the Tivoli Foundation has done an incredible job of elevating its performance roster with top-tier entertainment that promises many more memorable events for years to come.”

Through the partnership, the Tivoli Foundation will be able to upgrade all three theaters with enhanced digital signage and other technology. In addition, Memorial Auditorium now boasts EPB’s Gig-speed internet which it can boost to 10-Gig connectivity for gaming and other broadband intensive events. “Thanks to EPB, Memorial Auditorium is now the performance venue with the fastest public WiFi in the Western hemisphere,” said Mr. Wilkinson. “We’ve got enough bandwidth to provide blazing fast WiFi even when 2,500 people are using it at the same time.

“The Tivoli Foundation exists to restore, preserve and operate the Tivoli, Memorial Auditorium and the Walker Theater as historic landmarks that are alive with present-day vitality and fun,” he said. “We appreciate EPB for enriching our community’s experience of the performing arts.”
