Star Party At Cloudland Canyon State Park Set For May 5

There will be a Star Party at Cloudland Canyon State Park on Saturday, May 5. It is sponsored by the Staff and Friends of Cloudland Canyon State Park and conducted by the Barnard Astronomical Society.

Officials said, "Come see the wonders of the night sky through our telescopes. Both Venus and Jupiter will be visible this night.

another dark night with a third quarter moon. Constellations of Spring are beginning to appear. As always we will also be observing DSO's (Deep Sky Objects) like star clusters, nebulae and other galaxies like our own Milky Way."

The even will be at the starting point of the Disc Golf Course, from 8-10 p.m. Astronomy programs are free to all. Usual parking fee at the park applies.
