Erie Lou Cuzzort, 98, of Trenton, passed away at her residence Thursday evening, March 15, 2018. Mrs. Cuzzort was a homemaker and loving mother of nine children. She was a member of the Dade County Senior Citizens and also a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Cuzzort; parents, James and Priscilla Thompson; two daughters, Wanda Cuzzort and Glenda Cranmore; four sons, Hershel, Clines, Lemowen and Jerry Cuzzort; four sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include daughter, Barbie Tallent of Soddy Daisy; daughter, Dertha Carroll of Trenton; son, Ledell Cuzzort of Trenton; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 18 at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with Rev. Chris Hagler officiating. Interment will follow in Browns Gap Cemetery. Family will receive friends 2-8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday at the Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton.
