Marguerita “Peggy” Aileen Corn Eaker, 83, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018. A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Peggy was a former employee of Hutcheson Medical Center, where she worked for 18 years as an administrative assistant.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Marguerita P. Olsen Corn; and brothers. Jack Corn, David “Bubby” Corn and Robert “Bobby” Corn.
She is survived by her childhood friend of 77 years and later loving husband of 58 years, Edward Eugene Eaker of Chattanooga; four children, Daniel Edward (Kelly) Eaker of Tunnel Hill, Ga., Michael Anthony Eaker of Raleigh, NC, Joseph Patrick (Debbie) Eaker of Feasterville, Pa. and Debra Ann (Alex) Eaker-Cartwright of New Port Richey, Fl.; sister, Kate McDonald of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Katie Eaker, Jessica (Dennis) Domingos, Sean Eaker, James Eaker and Jacob Eaker; three great-grandchildren, Vincent Migel Domingos, Marcel Anthony Domingos and Evelyn Grace Domingos; and several nieces and nephews.
Her life will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
At a later date the family will hold a celebration of life in her honor.
