Herman Goins
Herman Ray Goins, 88, a resident of Ocoee Street, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the family residence.
He was the son of the late Elmer and Lizzie Goins and was also preceded in death by his daughter Trisha Ann Collins a grandson Jason Wright and his brother, Elmer Goins, Jr.
Mr. Goins was a member of the Bancroft Church of God and was a retired well known carpenter working for Larry Swafford and TVA.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Virginia “Shiny” Goins, his sons, Gary Goins and his wife, Linda, Mike Goins, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, his brother, Roy Goins and his wife, Betty.
A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Avenue chapel with Reverend Ronnie Dotson officiating.
The interment will follow in the Earls Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
