Ralph Ford
Ralph Phillip Ford, 67, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 20, 2018.
He was born on March 9, 1951, to Daisy Mae (Battle) Ford and the late Ozzie Ford, Sr. in Chattanooga.
Ralph was educated in the Chattanooga Public School System; where he graduated with honors from Riverside High School - Class of 1969. Upon graduation from high school, Ralph continued his studies at Alabama A&M University. In 1975, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology. He retired from Daimler Chrysler Corporation after 31 years of service. Ralph gave his life to Christ as a teenager at the Mount Canaan Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee under the leadership of the late Pastor Melvin Jordan. Upon establishing residency in Huntsville, Ralph joined the Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church under the pastorage of Elder Oscar L. Montgomery, Sr. and for many years was an active volunteer with the Operation Nehemiah Program.
Left to cherish his memories are his beloved mother, Daisy Mae Ford, Chattanooga, TN; sons, Iniko R. Ford, Randall D. Ford ; and daughter, Nausha D. Hambrick, all of Huntsville, AL; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanetta Ford (Marvin) Lee and Priscilla Ford, Chattanooga, TN; one brother, Ozzie (Joyce) Ford Jr., North Augusta, SC; aunts, Bertha Ford, Huntsville, AL and Annie J. King, Mansfield, TX; devoted cousins, Laura B. Clift and Family, Ben Ford, Jr., Carrie “Lean” Jasper and Family, Manuel “Buddy” Jasper and Dorothy Matthews and Family; and host of many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1 p.m. CST on Friday, Oct. 26, at Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Huntsville, Al. Family visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 25, from 6-7 p.m. CST at Nelms Memorial Funeral Home, Huntsville.
