Shirley A. Elder Williams, 67, of Chattanooga, Tn. completed her mission in this lifetime Oct. 20, 2018.

She valued family and cherished life. She graduated from Howard High School 1969 and was a loyal employee for KeithCare Management and RHA.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Elizabeth Elder and brother, Norman Elder.
Survivors include husband, Clarence Williams; daughter, Lawanda McDowell of California; sons, Kenneth McDowell, Jr. of Georgia and Maurice McDowell of Chattanooga; sisters, Frances Eberhart (Sidney), Annie E. Weams, Mildred McBee, Norma Guines; brothers, Robert Elder(Joyce) and Lincoln Elder; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
 
Thanks to Kindred Hospital and Hospice of Chattanooga for providing an outstanding level of integrity and excellence for Shirley A. (Elder) Williams.
 
The body will lie in state after noon and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 26.
 
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, at New Horizon Baptist Church.

Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m.
