Jimmy L. Trimm, 88, of Hixson, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018.
Jimmy was born on Aug. 7, 1930, in Cleveland, to the late James H. Trimm and Lilly Mae Burns Trimm. He retired from the Chattanooga Times Free Press as a typesetter and a machinist. He was a member of the International Typographical Union and enjoyed flying as a private pilot.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Trimm.
Survivors include his daughter, Joy Carter (Steve); 2 grandchildren, Kelly Henrich (Greg), and Jeff Carter; three great-grandchildren, Hudson, Cadence, and Keegan; and sister, Barbara Moats (Earl).
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.
The graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
