Adult Baseball League Set To Open April 8

  • Tuesday, January 16, 2018
The United States Veteran Baseball League is set to kick off it season Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Camp Jordan.

This season will consist of 20 regular season games followed by a double elimination tournament.  The championship and All Star game will be held at AT&T Field.  The league is a wood bat league, and is open to anyone who is 18 or older.

The league currently has eight teams, and is looking to add two teams this season.
Billy Massingale, the league president, said, "We expect a great turn out for this season, and it promises to be very competitive".

Last season's champion Bulls are promising to hold on to their title, but Brandon Davis of the Heat said, "We have an improved team this year, and I think we are going to surprise some folks."

Tryouts dates have not yet been announced, but the end of February is roughly when they will be held. Jeff Santaite, vice president, said, "We will announce all relevant information regarding tryouts, dates, and other league information on our Facebook page."

If you are interested in playing, managing, or placing a team in the league, contact the league as soon as possible.

The USVBL is a veteran run league.  Both Massingale and Santaite are veterans who not only have a passion for baseball, but also for helping veterans. The league tries to offer financial assistance to veterans, which is achieved through donations received throughout the community. The league welcomes any business, big or small, who would like to sponsor a veteran.
