William “Bill” Hughes, 71, of Trenton passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2017. Mr. Hughes was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed by Genco Inc. of Chattanooga, then later co-owned and operated Sand Mountain Apparel.
Preceded in death by his parents William Edward Hughes and Ruth (Russ) Matthews.
Surviving include his wife Mary Hughes of Trenton; children Heather (Steven) Graham, Mindy Hughes, Eric (Hannah) Hughes, Raymond Boydston, Roger (Leona) Boydston, Melissa (Bobby) Cloud, Marsha (Japi) Lynch; sisters Nancy (Gus) Bartsocas and Jan (Jim) Wright; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton.
